About Jeff Curran

Jeff Curran is a 5th-degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Pedro Sauer and a lifelong martial artist with a career spanning over three decades in grappling and MMA. A veteran of the UFC, WEC, PRIDE, Bellator, and Strikeforce, Jeff has competed on every major stage in the fight world, and is recognized as one of the early pioneers of the sport in the Midwest and across the country.

Jeff is the founder and head instructor of Team Curran Jiu-Jitsu in Crystal Lake, Illinois — an academy that has helped shape hundreds of students, competitors, and future coaches.

Jeff is a father of two boys, Ty and Jacob, and is married to his wife of 28 years, Sarah.
